APPEAL TO CIT ALUMNI
We are glad to inform you that CIT Alumni Association (CITAA) is planning to celebrate its Golden Jubilee on CIT Alumni Day (OSAN Day) which falls on Saturday, the 13th March 2010.
The Executive committee of CITTAA felt that as a substantial number of CIT Alumni are entrepreneurs, it has been decided to conduct an exhibition in CIT premises during the 1st week or 2nd week of June 2010 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of CIT Alumni Association wherein the products of CIT Alumni entrepreneurs will be displayed. This will motivate more and more CIT young alumni as well as CIT students to become entrepreneurs.
We hereby appeal to all CIT Alumni entrepreneurs to come forward and actively participate in the exhibition which can be named as ‘CIT Al – Pro’ (CIT Alumni Products). In this regard, we request all CIT Alumni to give their valuable suggestions for the conduct of the exhibition in a grand manner.
We also request the various chapters of CIT Alumni Association to interact with the Alumni Entrepreneurs in their respective chapters and come out with the list of participants.
To organize this exhibition, we need the financial support from the exhibitors. In this regard, we request you to sponsor this exhibition. We are sure that our CIT Alumni entrepreneurs will utilize this opportunity to display their products.

The general body meeting of CIT Alumni Association was held on 12.08.2009 by 6.30 pm, at CIT AC Conference Hall. Prof. E. Ramasamy, President, presided over the meeting. Dr. S. Shanmugam, Secretary welcomed the gathering and presented the annual report. Er. C. Vivekanandan, Treasurer, presented Income and Expenditure accounts for the year ended 31st March, 2009, and the same was approved by the general body. The President, Prof. E. Ramasamy and Vice-President, Er. K. Ramachandran addressed the gathering. Election was conducted for the post of office bearers and the following were elected unanimously for a period of two years (Till 31st July 2011). The incoming President, Er. K. Ramachandran delivered his message and the incoming Secretary, Er. K. Karam Chandhra Mohan delivered the vote of thanks.

CIT ALUMNI DAY 2009
CIT Alumni Day 2009 was celebrated on Saturday, 14th March 2009 at CIT campus. About 1500 Alumni including the newly registered final year students of CIT and CIT Sandwich Polytechnic College attended the celebrations.
Er. K. Ramachandran, Vice President, CIT Alumni Association welcomed the gathering.
The Chief Guest of the evening , Prof. P. Livingston Peter Goldwyn (1976 Batch - B.E. Civil Engg.), Principal, VLB Janaki Ammal Polytechnic College, Coimbatore - 42, gave a memorable speech recalling his student days in CIT.
He also distributed the endowment prizes to students who were selected by a committee.
Dr. R. Prabhakar, Principal CIT was the Guest of Honour.
Prof. E. Ramasamy , President, CIT Alumni Association presided over the meeting. The President informed the Alumni to contact respective chapters of Alumni Association for better interaction.
Dr. S. Shanmugam, Secretary, thanked the chief guest, Principal, CIT, President, CIT Alumni Association and all alumni who came up in large numbers in making the celebrations a memorable one.

Homage to Prof. P. R. Ramakrishnan
C.I.T. Alumni Association, Coimbatore conducted a condolence meeting on August 24th 2008 at CIT to pay
homage to the Founder Principal and Correspondent of CIT Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan, who passed away recently.
Prof.E.Ramasamy, President of the Alumni Association presided over the meeting. Members from various parts
of the state attended the meeting. Dr.S.Shanmugam, Secretary of the Association read out a brief life sketch
of Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan. Dr.R.Prabhakar, Principal of the institute mentioned the great qualities like simplicity,
helpfulness and honesty possessed by Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan. Prof.E.Ramasamy, President of Alumni Association
highlighted the good qualities of Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan. Prof.M.Guruswamy, former Principal, CIT spoke about the
exemplary qualities of Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan. Dr.A.Sethurathnam, an Alumnus, recalled his association with
Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan as a student and as a faculty member. Office bearers from Coimbatore, Trichy and Salem
Chapters of CIT Alumni Association and other members offered their condolences. A condolence message was
read out by Mr.C.Vivekanandan, Treasurer of the Association to be sent to the bereaved family. Floral tributes
were paid to the portrait of Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan by Alumni and everyone observed two minutes silence and
prayed for the soul of Prof.P.R.Ramakrishnan to rest in peace.

1. To view alumni details
Click "Search" to go to search page.
Enter your name (without initials) only, year of passing, degree and branch, and then click 'search'.
Now your name with initials, branch and year of passing will appear.
Click your name to view details.
2. To register alumni details
Click "Registration".
Enter your details in three pages.
In the third page enter your username, password etc. and click 'Save'.
Now your registration will go to CIT Alumni Administrator for approval.
After approval the alumni details can be obtained from "Search".
You may note down your username and password for any future updates.
